Depending on the printer model, you may need to purchase ink cartridges. These will usually contain cyan, magenta and yellow ink. Some printers are able to print black and white documents, too.
Inkjet printers have the advantage of producing high quality photos. However, they take some time to warm up, and the colors may fade under sunlight. It’s best to choose a printer with a reliable printhead.
Laser printers, on the other hand, use a laser beam to alter an electrical charge in the drum. The ink is then transferred to the paper by pressure.
